With a life-long love of art and an impressive career in commercial artwork, artist John McCormack’s latest venture combines his roots at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design and the Art Institute of Chicago with a his long history in pop culture resulting in an exciting new line of artwork with Artland.

John’s perspective captures the humor and adventure of favorite titles and icons in many very large and bold canvases. Finding color combinations and patterns through the lens of pop culture nostalgia has led John to a genuinely “hang-able” style of traditional art. With over thirty exhibitions and juried art events to his credit, his originals have been sought after for years and combined with new originals and limited editions prints, his bright and energetic style will find many new collectors as well as firmly support art already in the collections of such notable entities at the United Nations, Hilton Hotels, Marriot, and Warner Bros. Studios.

For two decades John has been one of the top purveyors of a unique brand of pop-culture parody offered by LEGO, working as artist and style-setter for LEGO’s archetypal branding, products and entertainment. Under his direction, the LEGO characters have taken on personalities and stories of their own. John’s career his steeped in the top properties in American culture taking on everything from Disney princesses to Star Wars. His unique interpretation of popular entertainment has led John to reach out with his own artistic style, unrestrained.
